Taylor Barnard secured his maiden Formula 2 victory during the Monaco Sprint Race in a weekend filled with dramatic moments. Starting from reverse-grid pole, Barnard faced pressure from Gabriel Bortoleto but held his nerve through multiple race interruptions, including two Safety Car periods and a late red flag incident. Despite these challenges, he managed to maintain the lead and crossed the finish line with a commanding five-second gap to Bortoleto. This win marked both Barnard's and AIX Racing’s first triumph in Formula 2.
Key incidents during the race included an early crash involving Victor Martins, followed by a chaotic sequence when Zane Maloney and Kush Maini were caught in a crash that led to the red flag. However, after the restart, Barnard maintained his composure to dominate the race, with Bortoleto finishing second and Dennis Hauger completing the podium in third place
